i'm the kind of freak who watched every horror movie i could get my phone or laptop to load as a kid. before netflix, i just googled lists of horror movies and then googled "watch online free" and found everything i could possible want- i've seen all kinds of random horror, mainstream, classics, indie, foreign. i have a fondness for korean horror and a preference for psychological horror, but...
recently, i've been really into slashers. texas chainsaw 1+2, the exorcist 1+3, nightmare on elm street 1+2+3, i've seen a random assortment of friday the 13th too, but who remembers which ones! not me!
life got scary enough i didn't feel like watching horror for a while, but i'm getting more reclusive and back into my little agorophobic scary-movie-watching bubble. nothing like chips and a scary movie to make the evening perfect.
i have a thing for villains and bad guys. obviously partially a mega child-film-corporation's fault for having gay coded villains. i grew up watching villains get as touchy-feely as possible with the good guys! its not my fault, but i keep shame out of my space anyway. there's nothing like the feeling of watching a terrifying, OP bad guy manhandling the hero in a taunting half-assed attempt to kill or capture them. especially when they're a bad guy with a specific focus on the hero, like slade/nightwing for example. but pretty much most horror works for this so-
i've also seen a lot of thrillers, crime and psycho thrillers. like more than i could list anywhere, some obscure lost to time stuff i saw on tv as a kid. i love any media about stalking, my favorite fanfic genre is "character A is stalking character B AU" and anything similar. serial killer au? that's my shit! you wanna roleplay some serial killer/victim stuff, some stalker/stalked, anything creepy or scary or even supernatural kinda stuff i'm here for it.
not just movies, not just fanfics. i love ANYTHING scary. haunted houses and stuff, scary games. i liked FNAF when it was new, and slenderman, tons of little indie horror. most of which you can find pewds or someone playing, i dont know what modern youtubers are up to tbh. think 'late night at the office' (i think was the name) and similar stuff. and then i also just like creepy and weird stuff in general.
my favorite horror baddie/creature, across all mediums would have to be... pennywise. nothing hits like a cosmic horror spider clown who wakes up to feed after acts of extreme hate and tragedy!! could've done without the weird gangbang in the book tho :/ that was a little weird, Stephen! but i get it, sometimes you just have an idea, and it at least made sense given the girl's creepy dad. taking ownership of the things that caused her fear and so on. back to focus!
i think i just like clowns, maybe. because joker (many different versions) is HOT. i cosplayed him (and it was GOOD too) and i obsessed over cosplayers of him and i wrote a VERY successful batjokes fanfic in the past (although you can't find it these days). plus pennywise, plus Gamzee plus the whole juggalo-horror-theme in ICP. i might just like clowns tbh :/ or facepaint could be more accurate. masks i know i like for sure... the creepier, the better.
